Cookie Policy
Effective as of June 25, 2026
Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Healsens Store (store.healsens.com), operated by Healsens B.V. (“Healsens”, “we”, “us”), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data more broadly. Where this policy refers to “cookies”, we also mean similar technologies such as local storage entries and pixels, where applicable.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, operate the shopping cart, and measure how the store is used. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by third-party providers whose services we use.
How we manage consent
When you first visit the store, a cookie banner lets you Accept all, Reject all non-essential technologies, or Customize your choices by category. Your preferences are stored in your browser (key: hs_consent_v1 in local storage) so we can remember your decision on future visits.
You can change your choices at any time through Cookie settings in the store footer. Non-essential analytics and marketing technologies are used only when you opt in. Essential technologies required to run the store cannot be disabled.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2 so that Google tags respect your choices for analytics and advertising storage.
Cookie categories
1. Necessary (always active)
These technologies are required for the store to function. They support cart, checkout, authentication, security, and language preferences. They do not require consent under the ePrivacy rules because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you request.
| Name / technology | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
OCSESSID (session cookie) | Maintains your shopping session, cart contents, checkout state, and signed-in status after JWT validation or account sign-in | Session | Healsens Store |
language / locale cookies | Remembers your selected store language | Up to 1 year | Healsens Store |
hs_consent_v1 (local storage) | Stores your cookie consent choices | Until you clear browser data or change preferences | Healsens Store |
Sign-in may redirect you to Auth0 (auth.healsens.com) to verify your identity. That hosted login page may use cookies on Auth0’s domain during the sign-in flow. The store itself does not store Auth0 tokens in browser cookies; after sign-in, authentication state is held in the OpenCart session above. Mobile and app flows pass a JWT in the request (for example as a jwt query parameter), which the store validates server-side.
2. Analytics (opt-in)
These technologies help us understand how visitors use the store so we can improve product pages, checkout, and navigation. They are activated only when you consent to analytics cookies.
| Name / technology | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
PostHog (ph_* cookies or privacy-preserving alternatives) | Product analytics events such as page views, product views, cart actions, and checkout steps. Before you opt in, PostHog may operate in a cookieless mode with limited measurement. | Up to 1 year (when cookies are used) | PostHog (privacy policy) |
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*, and related identifiers) | Aggregated website usage statistics and funnel measurement when enabled and consented | Up to 2 years | Google (privacy policy) |
3. Marketing (opt-in)
These technologies support advertising measurement and remarketing. They are activated only when you consent to marketing cookies.
| Name / technology | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Ads (conversion and remarketing tags via gtag) | Measures ad conversions (for example after a purchase) and supports campaign attribution when configured | Up to 90 days (varies by Google settings) | Google (privacy policy) |
Meta Pixel (_fbp, fr, and related identifiers) | Advertising and remarketing measurement when enabled and consented | Up to 90 days | Meta (privacy policy) |
Marketing tags may not be active on every page load; they depend on our configuration and your consent choices.
Third-party providers
Analytics and marketing providers may process technical identifiers (such as IP address, device type, and page URLs) according to their own policies. We configure these services to respect consent where technically possible and use EU-hosted analytics infrastructure for PostHog (eu.i.posthog.com).
How to control cookies
- Use Cookie settings in the store footer to update your preferences at any time.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent checkout or sign-in from working.
- For Google advertising preferences, visit Google Ads Settings.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or change technologies on the store. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
